<i>A gamejam is an event in which a collection of creative people come together for short periods of time, and make games together, based on a theme or specific constraints. A lot of big games got their start at gamejams, such as World of Goo, Spore and Braid.</i><br />

When I wanted to pick up the minibus, evil game-hating people cut the oil to the servo, making the bus impossible to control. (actually the car just broke down, everyone in Viborg loves games)<br />

So, as a result, the planned roadtrip to SpilBar and SpilPrisen had to be cancelled. We're getting the bus fixed up though, so we'll be back with a vengeance for next SpilBar!<br />

Most recently, David co-ran a successful Kickstarter to fund the creation of a comic book, Second Quest.<br /><br />After the unexpected, early career success of Braid, David spent several years looking for a suitable follow-up, living on his dwindling savings. With time running out, and no extra lives remaining, he chose to spend his last months of sustainable self-employment pitching a comic book called Second Quest. With writer Tevis Thompson, David committed to this new project in the most public way, with an appeal for funding on Kickstarter.<br /><br />In his talk, David will share observations about protecting his creativity in a career increasingly riddled with adult worries.</span><br />

The first ever SpilBar in Viborg has just finished. Unfortunately the flight from Copenhagen to Karup was cancelled, so the planned speakers, Lars Henriksen and Henrike Lode couldn't join us.<br />
